PUBLIC NOTICE - INTENTION TO BORROW

Notice is hereby given of the Shire of Merredin’s intention to borrow funds.

At it’s Ordinary Council Meeting held on 11 December 2023, the Council resolved by absolute majority, to borrow up to $3,000,000.00 for the purpose of providing the Shire with a short-term loan for cash-flow purposes relating to the CBD Redevelopment and Apex Park projects.

The loan will be for a period of up to 9 months and will be facilitated by the WA Treasury Corporation.

Pursuant to section 6.20(2) of the Local Government Act 1995, one month’s public notice of the proposal is hereby given.
