The Shire of Merredin's (the Shire) back to school Kickstart 2025 event made a huge splash at the Merredin District Olympic Swimming Pool on Friday, 14 February 2025, bringing together more than 60 enthusiastic school-kids for an afternoon of fun and community interaction.
The free event, designed to motivate and inspire local children as they begin a new school year, offered an exciting mix of activities including lawn games, water dodgeball, water inflatables, table tennis, and music. Students had the opportunity to participate in engaging challenges that encouraged teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills, all while cooling off in the pool under the summer sun.
Kids enjoyed a free lolly bag and ice cream, while Essential Personnel offered a sausage sizzle fundraiser.
The Shire extends a special thanks to all participants, Essential Personnel and the Merredin District Olympic Pool Staff, who contributed to making the event a memorable experience. Students walked away with not only great memories but also a renewed sense of motivation for the year ahead.
With the success of this year’s Kickstart event, the Shire looks forward to continuing to support youth development through similar programs in the future. Stay tuned for more exciting youth initiatives coming soon!
