How to apply for employment vacancies

All employment vacancies close on the advertised date and time, however an 'Expression of Interest' can be submitted prior to the closing date and time allowing the applicant a further two working days from the advertised closing date and time to submit their full application.

Every application should be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Chief Executive Officer - Shire of Merredin.  The front of the envelope should be endorsed with the title of the position being applied for.  Applications or 'Expressions of Interest' can be delivered to the Administration Centre, cnr King and Barrack St Merredin, posted to PO Box 42 Merredin WA 6415 or emailed to admin@merredin.wa.gov.au to be received prior to the advertised closing date and time.

Applicants are required to specifically address the Selection Criteria listed for the position being applied for.  Further details are included in the Applying for Position Guide which is available on the Employment Page.

All applications received for any position will not be opened or reviewed prior to the closing date and time. 

How to submit tenders & expressions of interest

All Tenders or Expressions of Interest close on the advertised date and time. Canvassing of Councillors in relation to any tender will automatically disqualify the Tenderer.

It is important that you are aware that no security or responsibility will be accepted for tenders forwarded by fax or e-mail.

Every tender should be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Chief Executive Officer – Shire of Merredin. The front of the envelope should be endorsed with the Tender Number and a brief description of the Tender. Tenders can be delivered to Council's Tender Box at the Shire Administration Offices, cnr King and Barrack St Merredin or posted to PO Box 42 Merredin WA 6415 and must be received prior to the advertised closing date and time of the tender. Faxed and emailed tenders will only be received if so specified in the Tender Advertisement.

Late tenders or expressions of interest will not be accepted under any circumstances.

All tenders received will not be opened or reviewed prior to the closing date and time of the tender period.
